5 We ate in the evening. There were no tables outside but we decided to go inside and it we were delighted that we did. The staff were very helpful and the cafe was beautiful with a lovely atmosphere. We shared dishes from the menu and their tapas. It was very tasty and reasonably priced.
5 The tapas are really good, we were 3 and the waitresses were really friendly and helpful. We have chosen a corner inside and we were like @home
5 A truly authentic and marvelous experience. The food, the place, the vibe, I loved everything about this place.
5 Smiling staff that helps to make you order even there is some language barrier. Food was delicious and wine choice done by the waitress very good. The atmosphere is really local and you get the french vibe. Prices are a bit higher but it was worth it.
5 Great find. Fantastic atmosphere and discovered it's the oldest cafe/ bar in Toulouse. It's worth a visit just to see the fantastic decore inside. Busy with the locals. Service great.
5 Amazing place with great atmosphere and lots of unique, original decorations to enjoy. Came for breakfast, but will definitely come back for lunch or dinner another time.
5 A little too blustery to sit outdoors this evening. Indoors was a treat though. Established 1882 and the decor is eclectic and great. A popular spot with a good selection of items, from tapas to full entrées. Prices are reasonable and the staff efficient and friendly. Could sit there for days soaking in the history and vibes. Definitely recommend the pommes frites avec mayo (fries with mayo).
5 I LOVE this cafe. The proprietor, M. Olivier, is to be congratulated on creating a space where one can dine as they did in Toulouse in earlier times. Simultaneously delicious and informative. As a local, I tend to go in the mornings, at lunchtime, or for an afternoon drink or coffee. The evenings, especially when there is a concert at the Halle aux Graines, tend to get hectic and, understandably, a bit impersonal. But that's just me. Others may see it differently. It's a great place to go to understand the Toulouse of yesterday, to meet new friends, and enjoy the life of the quartier. Very much recommended.
They offer tasty tapas, small plates, and a great selection of coffee, wine, beer, and cocktails, perfect for sharing or a relaxing meal.
Both! You can enjoy a casual, cozy dining experience or grab a quick bite, with options for dine-in, takeaway, and a lively bar area.
Evenings are popular and lively, so visiting during off-peak hours might offer a quieter, more relaxed vibe inside or outside if seating is available.
